Phoenix House is a four-bedroom family home set on a quiet residential road with a strong community spirit. We are fortunate to have excellent local secondary schools nearby which provide for a wide spectrum and needs and abilities. We are also within walking distance to the abundant amenities of Maidstone Town Centre and some lovely parks.
The Phoenix is a magical, mythical bird. Ancient legends describe how the Phoenix would perish in flames of its own making, only to be reborn and rise from the ashes even more powerful and spectacular than before. To us the phoenix is a beautiful symbol of hope and new beginnings. We can all experience pain and hard times…but with a fresh start, determination and support it’s possible to emerge even stronger, even more ready to rise to life’s challenges and experience its many joys.

“I feel that making a warm and safe home environment for children is the basic first step for them to flourish. I have experience working in a trauma-informed way and combining this with a therapeutic parenting approach. This enables children to understand that the adults in the home acknowledge their experiences and will be there to support them.

I believe adults should be highly attuned and responsive to children’s views, wishes and feelings and should advocate vigorously to ensure that their voices are heard.

Each member of the tribe brings a unique set of skills and experiences which enable us to provide high level nurture and a positive, upbeat environment for the children. I believe that open communication between the home and all professionals involved in the child’s care is pertinent to achieving life-changing outcomes.”

“I feel that making a warm and safe home environment for children is the basic first step for them to flourish. I have experience working in a trauma-informed way and combining this with a therapeutic parenting approach. This enables children to understand that the adults in the home acknowledge their experiences and will be there to support them.

I believe that the adults around the child need to ensure that the care that they provide is tailored to the individual’s needs, taking into consideration their views, wishes and feelings and advocating for them to ensure that their voices are heard.

Each team member brings a set of skills that enable us to provide a very positive and upbeat environment for the children. I believe that open communication between the home and all professionals involved in the child’s care is pertinent to achieving positive outcomes.”
